The Regional Command Center will act as the central hub for coordinating emergency responses throughout the region. The Unified 911 functions as a centralized hotline, consolidating over 30 local emergency numbers to enhance and streamline emergency response coordination.

Cebu City is now home to the country’s second Unified 911 communication hub. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), NGA 911, and PLDT launched the Visayas Regional Hub on October 25 at the PLDT Smart Experience Hub in Osmeña Boulevard.
The new site comes just a month after the first hub opened in Manila. It expands the reach of the country’s modern emergency hotline and ensures faster coordination for calls involving police, fire, medical, or disaster response.

THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), along with the NGA 911, and telecommunications company PLDT Inc., launched the unified 911 system’s second regional hub in Cebu.
DILG Secretary Juanito Victor C. Remulla, Jr. unveiled the new hub last Oct. 25 at the PLDT Smart Experience Hub at Osmeña Boulevard, which will serve as its temporary site. Its permanent site will be built at the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Headquarters in Lapu-Lapu City.
